Exhibition of Japanese calligraphy, Floral art and Ceramic vases
Ren Yano, Setsuko Yanagisawa, Keiko Matsui

Japanese artists Ren Yano (Japanese calligrapher), Setsuko (floral artist) and Keiko Matsui (ceramic artist) will present their exquisite Japanese creative works including demonstrations of calligraphy and flower arrangement at an opening to take place at 18:00 on 1st December at Yuga Floral Design and café Gallery.
The exhibit includes examples of beautiful Japanese calligraphy together
with innovative and delicate flower arrangements and creative vases. All
art pieces will also be available for purchase during the exhibition.
Ren Yano
Graduated Tokyo Gakugei University (Japanese Calligraphy), studied at Tama Art University (Digital Graphic Design). Ren is actively promoting his style of calligraphy both in Japan and Australia through solo and group exhibitions, demonstrations and displays for events, restaurants and company logos.
Setsuko Yanagisawa
Studied and worked with floral designs in Japan, Europe and Australia. Recent works include floral designs for the launch of first class lounge and check in suite of Qantas Airways. Her achievements include Art of Flowers in 2005 and awarded a prize at the prestigious ABC Garden EXPO. Setsuko is also owner of Yuga Floral Design and Café in Glebe where she organises personalized flower arrangement classes.
Keiko Matsui
Completed Honours at National Art School. Currently, “Potter in Residence” at UNSW. Keiko has presented her work extensively in group exhibitions in Sydney where she has been awarded numerous prizes including Belligen Art Prize, Olympic Park Authority Prize, Townsville Ceramic Competition Award, Mura clay group Exhibition Award and Inner City Clayworkers Graduation Student Exhibition Award.
