Philippa Bolton, Digby Duncan and Diann Payne
3 photographers, Philippa Bolton, Digby Duncan and Diann Payne collaborate in an exhibition that envisions the natural world in creatively unusual and unique ways. Each of these women are experienced photographic artists drawn together by a string of coincidences.
From a common pleasure of observing the natural world, each photographer has spun a different narrative. Some images morph and weave colours, shapes and textures to produce divergent creative forms, whilst others simply document. The exhibition leaps from life to death, copulation to decay, and crooks and crannies in between.
In the last few years each photographer has been drawn to minute natural phenomenon. Philippa and Diann have been absorbed also by the advent of new and stimulating photographic and printing techniques. This combination of the natural and the technological has produced previously unimaginable explosive visual experiences. Spinning Opposites is a diverse and stimulating range of photographs that entertain and provoke the senses, designed to arouse speculation and contemplation.
